HAVELSAN Unveils AVISTA Underwater Autonomy Project at TEKNOFEST

Turkish defense firm HAVELSAN introduced its new self-funded R&D project, AVISTA, at TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland 2026 in Gölcük. The project aims to develop national capabilities for underwater positioning, 3D mapping, ship hull inspection, and security, addressing high sensor costs and procurement restrictions. AVISTA features platform-independent software, with sea trials planned soon and operational readiness targeted for 2027.
