Ukrainian border guards from the Hart Border Brigade prevented Russian small assault groups from infiltrating in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction of the Kharkiv region, the 16th Army Corps reported on May 11. Separately, Russian troops launched three assaults that day near Vovchansk and Krasne Pershe.
Ukrainian border guards from the Hart Border Brigade thwarted an attempt by Russian small assault groups to infiltrate in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction of the Kharkiv region, the 16th Army Corps reported on May 11.
The 16th Army Corps announced the operation on Facebook and released corresponding video footage. According to the corps, the Russian plan was to quietly infiltrate, establish positions, and then report "successes" on their propaganda channels.
"The border guards' drones quickly explained to the invaders that any movement toward the Ukrainian border has long been under control, and attempts to enter the Kharkiv region unnoticed end before reaching the intended positions," the corps stated.
Separately on May 11, Russian troops launched three assaults against Ukrainian Defense Forces positions in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, targeting areas near Vovchansk and Krasne Pershe. The Hart Border Brigade had previously repelled a Russian border breakthrough attempt in the northern Kharkiv region on May 5.
