Russian forces strike Zaporizhzhia Oblast 780 times during truce, killing one and injuring three
Russian forces carried out 780 strikes on 33 settlements in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia Oblast over the past day of the so-called truce, killing one person and injuring three others, the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration reported. The attacks included 598 UAVs, mostly FPV drones, eight MLRS strikes, and 174 artillery strikes across multiple districts.

The attacks targeted the Zaporizhzhia and Polohy districts. Russian forces used 598 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types, mostly first-person-view (FPV) drones, in the strikes.
Eight multiple-launch rocket system (MLRS) strikes were launched against the settlements of Huliaipilske, Novoandriivka, Shcherbaky, Stepnohirsk and Pavlivka.
In addition, 174 artillery strikes hit Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, Pryluky, Hirke, Huliaipilske and Staroukrainka.
The latest bombardment follows a pattern of heavy shelling in the region. Over the past week, Russian forces launched 868 strikes on Zaporizhzhia Oblast on May 4, 843 strikes on May 5, and 797 strikes on May 7, according to previous reports from the regional administration.
