Ukraine's defence forces struck the Sheskharis oil terminal, the Grushovaya transshipment oil depot, and the tanker Chrysalis near Novorossiysk on the night of 22-23 May, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported. The strikes also hit Russian communication hubs in occupied areas of Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts, a logistics depot in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and an ammunition depot in Donetsk Oblast. Sheskharis is one of Russia's largest Black Sea oil terminals, with a throughput capacity of up to 75 million tonnes per year.

The Sheskharis terminal, located in Krasnodar Krai, is one of Russia's largest Black Sea oil terminals and part of the Transneft system. It has a throughput capacity of up to 75 million tonnes of oil per year and a tank farm capacity of about 1.28 million cubic metres. The Grushovaya oil depot, a key component of the Sheskharis facility and one of the largest tank farms in southern Russia, has a total tank capacity of about 1.2-1.4 million cubic metres.

The tanker Chrysalis was hit in the Black Sea area where Russia's shadow fleet ships are based, the General Staff said.

In addition to the oil infrastructure strikes, Ukrainian forces hit Russian communication hubs in temporarily occupied areas of Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts, a logistics depot in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and an ammunition depot in Donetsk Oblast.
