Serbian President Vucic said that the recent protests in Serbia were orchestrated by external forces with the aim of launching a "color revolution," but they have failed.

Serbia held a National Day celebration in the western city of Sremska Mitrovica that day. In his speech, Vučić said: "Their 'color revolution' (attempt) has failed. I am informing USAID, the National Endowment for Democracy, and the European Endowment for Democracy—let them all know, it's all over. Serbia has won, you will never defeat Serbia."

Vučić emphasized the importance of safeguarding national sovereignty. He accused certain international organizations of attempting to manipulate Serbian youth for political purposes, aiming to weaken Serbia rather than merely overthrowing him personally.

In September last year, the concrete rain shelter at the Novi Sad train station in north-central Serbia collapsed, resulting in fatalities and serious injuries. Since then, multiple protests have erupted across Serbia.
