This wave of warming has pushed the highest temperatures in the province today above ℃, but cold air is on its way, so it's time to pack away the light clothing.

According to the latest forecast from the provincial meteorological observatory, starting tonight, a significant cooling trend is unstoppable. Jiangsu will experience a strong wind and cooling process from north to south, with temperatures plummeting drastically. Except for Nantong and Suzhou, the minimum temperatures in other cities will fall below freezing, with Xuzhou, Lianyungang, Huai'an, and Suqian seeing single-digit minimum temperatures.

Cooling is accompanied by strong winds. At 10:00 AM on the specified date, the Jiangsu Coastal Research Institute issued a blue alert for sea waves in the Jiangsu sea area: affected by strong cold air, it is expected that from tonight to tomorrow morning, the coastal waters of Jiangsu will experience waves ranging from 2 to 4 meters, from large to giant; the coastal waters near Lianyungang, Yancheng, and Nantong will experience waves ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 meters, from medium to large. Vessels engaged in offshore operations are advised to take shelter in port or other measures to avoid the waves, and personnel should pay attention to safety.

At this time, the Jiangsu Meteorological Observatory continues to issue a yellow warning for strong winds in the sea areas: affected by the cyclone entering the sea and the cold air together, it is expected that from tonight to tomorrow, the sea areas of Lianyungang, Yancheng, and Nantong will experience gusts of over level, with the wind force in the sea areas of Lianyungang and the northern part of Yancheng reaching level. The Provincial Emergency Management Department (Provincial Office of Flood Control, Disaster Reduction, and Relief) and the Provincial Meteorological Bureau remind the public to take precautions.
